Kate Voegele - "I Get It"

Singer/songwriter Kate Voegele is only 19, though music industry types have been talking about this dynamic young performer for two years now. A freshman at Miami University, Kate's song Only Fooling Myself, won the Pop category of the 2005 USA Songwriting Contest, the youngest artist ever to win.

Not only does she have a great voice, Kate has the songwriting ability of someone twice her age. In her debut release, The Other Side, and her follow up EP, Louder Than Words, Voegele combines thoughtful lyrics with unforgettable hooks to create a masterful and melodic acoustic rock project. In addition to Farm Aid, Kate has also performed with John Mayer, Jamie Cullum and Mindy Smith, and has been gaining respect and recognition through regional touring.
