INSIDE COUNTRY RADIO

Los Angeles, CA -  Dierks Bentley is back at it with a big time Country hit. "Every Miles A Memory" (Capitol/EMI) is the one that our programmers are raving about. Many of our reporters are also raving about those Pirates Of The Mississippi. They have a big hit that is moving fast up the chart of NMW entitled "Kickin’ Up Dust" (Evergreen). Montgomery Gentry are also winning friends and influencing programmers with "Some People Change" (Columbia/Sony).

George Strait can’t seem to give any of his money away, but he can hint to it as his "Give It Away" (MCA Nashville) single continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Lonestar is back with a winner in "Mountains" (BNA/RLG) and good old Neal McCoy keeps racking in the numbers with a great new single. "Tailgate" (903) is a super excellent entry that many of you should get on.

Alan Jackson is back like the Country star that he is with "Like Red On A Rose" (Arista/RLG). Monique Wells is proving some things out there at radio with "We Can Make It Work" (Floyd). It’s good to see that Jo Dee Messina has not forgotten us. "Its Too Late To Worry" (Curb) is her latest offering and that is a good thing. Chris Young is also picking up his share of attention as of late with the very lovable "Drinkin’ Me Lonely" (RCA/RLG).

Jason Aldean is rocking hard these days. His "Amarillo Sky" (Broken Bow) seems to be all over the place this week. If you want to talk "fast mover", how about Charlie Allen? His current "That Was Then This Is Now" (River Run) is about as strong as they come. We loved this track from the minute we heard it and it’s so great to see it doing so well out there on our Country chart.

Floyd Flowers is back with his best single to date. "Since You Moved Out, I Moved Her In" (Hologram) which was produced and is being promoted by James Williams is something these guys can be very proud of. You won’t believe what kind of promotion they have going with NFL teams just in time for the pre-season, and the actual season to come. We’ll have more on this very soon.

Trent Tomlinson is "on fire" with "One Wing In The Fire" (Lyric Street) this week. Tresa Jordan has been busting down the walls at radio with her "I Turn To Country" (South River Road). If all goes well this week you may even see her on the cover of this weeks magazine. Last week she blew us all away with a chart debut and look for some big weeks ahead on this one to be sure.

Michael O’Neal is also having a very impressive run at Country radio. "Who’s Bad Now" (Sleeping Trout) is the track that is getting picked up and spinning around the good old USA. Sean Kristopher is also moving towards the main chart with a strong single. "Lil Things" (Kountree Boyz) is turning out to be "big things". Look for this one explode in the coming weeks.

Alan Jackson is breaking this week with a new hit. "Like Red On A Rose" (Arista/RLG) is picking up a number of early reporters. Also getting a good share of action is the new single from Shooter Jennings. Their "Gone To Carolina" (Universal South) appears to be a real winner and should have some great weeks ahead. "Wait For Me" (Capitol/EMI) by none other than Bob Seger is also building stations. It’s so great to have Bob back, and this time out at the Country format.

I have been in the radio business since the seventies and have been growing. My background includes being on a local radio station playing my kind of music rock and classic rock. I decided since radio has changed so much I like a mix of all formats basically rock, classic and songs from the sixties to todays hits. I also like to play the other tracks that are good but never get played.I play indepndent artists and interview them as well. We also have live shows, one is a free psychic readings and more I am getting together.
